3Dモデル「寸法立体 -バーコマド・1階-」
ATAMI ART GRANT 2023にて発表した作品「寸法立体 -バーコマド・1階-」の3Dモデル。 実作品を制作する前に、素材としたアルミ角棒のサイズや色、金具の形や必要個数、設置方法などを細かく正確に把握するために作成したもの。 作品はすでに撤去されているため、この３Dモデルが貴重なアーカイブのひとつとなっている。 「寸法立体 -バーコマド・1階-」解説 作品が設置された場所には、かつてアパートが1棟建っていたのだが、現行の建築基準法ではそこに新たに建物を建てることは許されず、そのアパートが解体されて以降現在も手つかずのまま、空き地の状態が続いている。 この空間を活かす方法はないかと考えた時、実際の建物を造ることはできないが、その前段階で必要となる建築図面を模した、いわば【建物未満】のものを出現させるのではどうか、と思いたった。 【建物未満】のモチーフとして選んだのは、熱海市中央町にあるバー、「コマド」。熱海に現存する遊郭建築のひとつで、築70年を超えるこの建物の間取りも、今の建築基準法のもとでは再現ができないものとなっている。 「時代が進むにつれて、社会のルールから外れることとなってしまった」という共通する背景と、それぞれの空間の持つ視覚的な強さに魅力を感じ、これらを掛け合わせたインスタレーション作品を展開させるに至った。 ※この作品は、3Dデータ作品になります。9/16以降に、ウォレット内で3Dデータへ変換されます。 3D model of the work “Three-dimensional dimensions -Bar Komado・1F” which was exhibited in ATAMI ART GRANT 2023. This was created to accurately figure out the size and color of the aluminum square bars used as the material, the shape of the metal parts, the number of pieces needed, and the installation method in detail before making the actual work. Since the actual work has already been removed, this 3D model is one of the valuable archives. Description of “Three-dimensional dimensions -Bar Komado・1F” There used to be an apartment building on the site where the work was installed,, however, because the current Japanese building code does not allow to raising new buildings there, the land has remained untouched and vacant up until now, since the previous apartment was demolished. When I wondered how to make the use of this place, I thought, “Although it is not possible to construct an actual building, how about creating something ‘half-building’ so to speak, in the form of architectural drawings, that are necessary in the previous step of construction?” The motif I chose for the “half-building” is a bar called “Komado” in Chuo-cho, Atami City. It is one of the “red-light district architectures” remaining in Atami, and its layout, which is over 70 years old, could not be reconstructed under the existing building code too. I was attracted by the common background that “as the ages progressed, these places were forced to be deviated from the rules of society” and the visual strength of each place. So, these two factors led me to create this installation artwork. ※This piece will become a 3D data work. 展示する空間がもともと持っている要素を利用して、物理的にもコンセプトの面でもその場と深く関わり、ほかの場所では再現できないような作品を展開している。 また制作活動以外にも、表現に携わる人々が集まる国際交流会の開催、アーティスト・イン・ホームステイという新しい滞在形態のプロジェクト、作品の提供ではなくアーティストとしての発想や経験を地域の課題解決に繋げる活動なども行っている。 I create artworks that are deeply associated with the space where they are exhibited, both physically and conceptually, and that cannot be reconstructed in any other location. Besides creating artworks, I also hold an international exchange meeting where various kinds of creative people gather, run a new type of residency project called "Artist in Homestay," and work with local communities to solve their issues through my ideas and experiences as an artist.
